University of Memphis Intaglio/Litho Class

I am questioning the wisdom of taking an intaglio/litho class. Over 40 years ago I majored in painting and screen printing at UT Knoxville. While I've continued to block and screen print, it wasn't until a few years ago that I took a one day workshop in monoprinting on plexiglass at SaltGrass in Salt Lake City. Perhaps that sparked the desire. Given the opportunity to take a studio class this fall I selected Intaglio/Litho because of the access to presses.

Printmaking lends itself to multiples and my first project was an edition of 60 6" x 9" pieces that I then intend to print on the other side. The studio has no set up for hanging work so my office at home is hung with crisscrossing clothesline to allow the work to dry completely. Perhaps, it will take a month...or two. After a week the smell is gone.
